Marina Hernández Scharrer has been involved in several projects related to economic analysis and design and evaluation of public policies in both the public and the private sectors.
She rejoined SAI Law & Economics in 2015, where she worked as an intern from 2008 to 2009. Before that, she held several positions at the Mexican Federal Public Administration. From 2014 to 2015, Marina served as Deputy Director General of Evaluation of Financial Projects at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit. From 2009 to 2012, she also served as Advisor to the Executive Secretary and Deputy Director of Social Research at the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy (CONEVAL).
Marina earned a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with the highest honors at the Insituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago as a Fulbright Fellow.
